Generally speaking, in America and even the Western world, we are far more concerned with work and wealth than our families and community, or relationships. Read More
Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water, and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.
And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive. It’s been a while since I have posted anything, I want first to thank those who responded by e-mail to share why they chose to not partake of the covenant or why they had. I had intended to share publicly with permission their many stories. However, after inquiring about it – it was for me – to see and hear or at least read what others experiences are. I learned that there are some who are actually learning to lean upon the Lord and are seeking Him. Some of which were directed by the Lord to partake of the covenant and some who were directed to not partake. In both circumstances, these obeyed the Lord, and both are right.
“…I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory.” (1 Nephi 14:14)
On Friday, June 2nd, 2017 something took place that the world did not notice and many are caught completely unaware of what had happened. Something was organized by Heaven here on earth that day, between those on earth and those in heaven. It was simple, no thrills, the passing of knowledge took place, and declarations were made concerning several things towards this end and the expounding of scriptures. It was personable and familiar.
There has been much debate of late regarding servants, priesthood, temples and the coming forth of a restored set of scriptures. There have even been those pitting the servants of God against the other and comparing them saying, so and so is a greater prophet than the other. These are the musings of those who do not know God, who turn the word of God for naught and who themselves do not keep the commandments.
- Will you give away ALL your sins to know God?
- Will you give your every possible moment to Him in thought, contemplation, searching your heart and soul in deep, ponderous thoughts, and feeling after Him always?
- Will you sacrifice ALL things to know Him?
- Will you obey His voice at all times, in all places and before all hazards?
- Do you believe the scriptures when they say Christ is the way?
An area of this website has been completed and it is dedicated to the preservation of the temple endowment and ceremony, and also, to teach according to the spirit of prophecy and revelation the meaning and purpose for the tokens and signs of the priesthood in this mortality, that you may know how more perfectly, to approach the Lord and receive. This specific section under the sub-heading “EXPOUNDING THE ENDOWMENT” has reference to the tokens and signs of the priesthood and their meaning.
It is through the medium of sacrifice and anguish that we obtain a covenant and promise from the Lord. It is not simply, covenanting to sacrifice; rather it is a covenant you receive from the Lord by sacrifice. He chooses the sacrifice and offering you will make to Him; this part is unique to your specific needs. What is universal between all of us is it will consist of a broken heart and contrite spirit. “God will not acknowledge that which He has not called, ordained, and chosen. In the beginning God called Adam by His own voice. “And the Lord called unto Adam and said unto him, where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and hid myself.” (See Genesis 3:9-10.) Adam received commandments and instructions from God: this was the order from the beginning.”
