Patience, Priesthood, Persistence and Waiting

On June 4, 2016, I went to the Lord in prayer, and received the following in reply to my inquiry.

“Those who seek for priesthood and power will have neither, but those who seek to do my will, the will of the Lord, shall have both priesthood and power to do that which I have asked of you.”

Those who seek for priesthood and power will have neither, but those who seek to do the will of the Lord, will have priesthood and power to do that which He has asked of you. Do you understand what this is?

Darkness: the Absence of Light

The point of my blog and sharing my journey is to give my witness of the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and of the truthfulness of the His gospel and His doctrine. My desire is to help others come unto Him, to seek out the covenant seed of Abraham, the remnant of Joseph of who I am, in whom these things rightfully belong, and to whom are my ancestors, who are the blood of my blood, that we may gather together wherever we are at in His name, as many as will come even the Gentile that they may be His seed too, that we may gather unto the Lord, that we all may be a covenant people together.

An interview

I recently was interviewed by Taylor Johnatakis about my experiences and witness of Christ, the interview resulted initially from my blog post titled: “Living according to your Faith,” where I shared my testimony of Christ, and also a talk (that you can listen to) that I recently gave to a congregation of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You can listen to the two part interview by visiting his website from the link below.

Understanding the Endowment: A Return to His Presence

Understanding the Endowment: A Return to His Presence

A new area of this website has been completed and it is dedicated to the preservation of the temple endowment and ceremony, and also, to teach according to the spirit of prophecy and revelation the meaning and purpose for the tokens and signs of the priesthood in this mortality, that you may know how more perfectly, to approach the Lord and receive. This specific section under the sub-heading "EXPOUNDING THE ENDOWMENT" has reference to the tokens and signs of the priesthood and their meaning.

Living According to your Faith

For the past two or so years since the Lord spoke these words to me: “thy ministry in my kingdom has begun.” I have sought to remain a proactive influential member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; I chose to serve among those who call themselves Mormons, I too have called myself "Mormon" at one time or another.

I love the gospel, I love Christ and I have a love for all people – I have no other desire than to serve Him and bring others unto Him. When I heard these words I prayed and asked the Lord that I be permitted to serve within the Church that I may persuade others to come unto Him and to know Him better than they do, He of course accepted of my desires, because it was my will. During that time I served as the Scout Committee Chair, and then in the Stake Sunday school presidency. I have sought to contribute to others spiritual growth and have labored among them. Sadly, many are content with what light they have been given, and do not desire an increase, nor were they, or are they prepared for greater knowledge. Yet others, very few, were seeking and knew not where to look and have embarked upon seeking the Lord for themselves– and yet some others, knew too much, that they could not be taught.

Salvation Administered by Testimony

D&C 76

50 And again we bear record—for we saw and heard, and this is the testimony of the gospel of Christ concerning them who shall come forth in the resurrection of the just—

51 They are they who received the testimony of Jesus, and believed on his name and were baptized after the manner of his burial, being buried in the water in his name, and this according to the commandment which he has given—

52 That by keeping the commandments they might be washed and cleansed from all their sins, and receive the Holy Spirit by the laying on of the hands of him who is ordained and sealed unto this power;

Living on Borrowed Light

Surviving the last days by living on borrowed light said no prophet ever

The whole conundrum behind the simple phrase of “follow the prophet, don’t go astray,” logically does not make sense, at least in the form it is taught and largely understood today.

The term “follow the prophet” has a twofold meaning, the obvious and dominating meaning behind this phrase is that following the prophet means to obey him, listen, hearken, look to him for light and guidance, lean upon him. He also speaks for the Lord and whatever he says is the word of Lord, the mind of the Lord and will of the Lord to the church and that he does not need to say, “thus sayeth the Lord” or that this is the mind and will of the Lord for it to be scripture, binding upon us, and that “Our sustaining is an oath-like indication that we recognize their calling” as a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator to be legitimate and binding upon us.  In essence you are being required to forswear yourself to a man or men. (3 Nephi 12:33). It no longer is a vote of sustaining as has been traditionally understood; it has been transfigured into an oath-like covenant between men, see Helaman 6:16-32, which thing is forbidden by God, if you have an oath and a covenant with men it is not of God but of the devil.

A New Name

Take upon you the name of Christ; there is no other name by which you may be saved.

Take upon you the name of Christ, and speak the truth in soberness, and as many as repent, and are baptized in my name, which is Jesus Christ, and endure to the end, the same shall be saved. Behold Jesus Christ is the name which is given of the Father, and there is none other name given whereby man can be saved: Wherefore all men must take upon them the name which is given of the Fatherfor in that name shall they be called at the last day: Wherefore if they know not the name by which they are called, they cannot have place in the kingdom of my Father. (1833 Book of Commandments 15:23-26, emphasis mine)

A Covenant by Sacrifice

It is through the medium of sacrifice and anguish that we obtain a covenant and promise from the Lord. It is not simply, covenanting to sacrifice; rather it is a covenant you receive from the Lord by sacrifice. He chooses the sacrifice and offering you will make to Him; this part is unique to your specific needs. What is universal between all of us is it will consist of a broken heart and contrite spirit. (3 Nephi 9:20).
